Winter Wonderland Fantasy for Local
Head Start Program

Process Plus announced their plans to make Christmas memorable for a group of forty-nine three and four year olds. On Monday, December 18, 2006 from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m., Process Plus will host a Winter Wonderland Fantasy for the children who attend the Shining Star Learning Center at 1557 Goodman Avenue in North College Hill.

"Our company has always made community outreach a priority," explains Cindy LoBuono, Controller. "This year we are sharing our business success with children in the community who deserve a wonderful Christmas." The company contacted the Free Store Food Bank to learn how they could best help children in need during the holidays. The Shining Star Learning Center was identified as a facility that prepares children for kindergarten. The majority of the children are from single parent families who rely on vouchers to afford daycare for their children.

"You won't want to miss this elaborate event," says Christy Larrison, event planner. "It will be spectacular; with all the bells and whistles of a staged production!" Process Plus has dedicated a warehouse at their headquartersfor the event. The children will delight in the elves walking on stilts, three foot balloon ornaments, and hula hoop dances led by a DJ who specializes in children's events.

In addition, to the lavish decorations, each child will receive personalized gifts from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The girls will receive a Cabbage Patch doll according to her race. Each boy will receive a Hummer Truck. All the children will receive a hand painted red wagon with a stuffed Christmas animal and a pair of boots. "We measured for the children's shoe sizes and went all over the city to find a unique pair for each child," says Michele Doll, Marketing Coordinator. Each boy and girl will also leave with a beautiful fur rimmed stocking loaded with delicious treats! Even the Head Start Staff will receive presents.

Lunch will be catered by Chick-fil-A. The students at the Culinary Institute will put the finishing touches on this event by making ginger bread houses. "We want this to be over the top for the children," states Jim Wendle, President. "We gave the employees the option of having an extravagant employee party or spending the money on children whose families struggle to make ends meet... you know the rest of the story."
