Ethanol: Spotlight
Getting Practical about Ethanol with
Senior Process / Project Engineer Dan Clevenger
Dan Clevenger, formerly with a major ethanol producer, joined the Process Plus Renewable Fuels team in September of 2006. With his experience as the "owners" engineer, Dan brings a practical viewpoint to the engineering and design component of project development and execution. He has the hands-on experience that can be delivered into the final design package.
"My role as a project engineer is to support the team, both internally and externally, in controlling the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of the projects," explains Dan. "As a project engineer, I manage the coordination between disciplines and ensure that a high level of overall technical quality is obtained."
Dan has nine years experience in the renewable fuels and beverage grade alcohol industries, which includes the operations, maintenance, and expansion of an ethanol production facility. He holds a M.B.A., concentrating in Finance and Marketing, from the University of St. Francis and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, from Ohio University.
Dan joined Process Plus due to the company's reputation in the ethanol production industry and the hands-on experienced team. "Process Plus has a unique position in renewable fuels with our production, design, start-up, and maintenance experience that we have gained both as the "owner" and the consultant to the industry", said Dan.
As a project engineer, Dan brings technology and human ingenuity together to ultimately make a difference in people's lives. "The impact of a successful ethanol facility benefits entrepreneurs, farmers, and communities... making a difference is the true focus of our work," concludes Dan.
